Samsung Galaxy Alpha and Samsung Galaxy Note 4 are the first ever phones with corning Gorilla Glass 4. If you have Galaxy Note 4 or Alpha, are you in a surprise? You should be.  The new version of toughened glass is just 0.4mm thick. This is also ¼ thinner than before.

This glass has strength and can survive many drops before giving up. It is even tested and 80 percent of time it survived its fall even on coarse surface with

 1 meter height. Corning has spent a considerable time providing Samsung with more reliable and better performing solid device design. Device should be thinner without making enough damage when comes to collision with hard surface. Samsung is both meeting the requirement and selling out hard soul amidst competition. “The Galaxy ALPHA is the culmination of our close collaboration with Samsung”, said Corning.

The Gorilla Glass 4 phones

This Technology is helping in making thinner phones. The Galaxy Alpha is 7mm wide while Note 4 is bit fatter that is at 8.5mm. But what is resisting Samsung to no to discuss this at launch is still unknown.
