The much awaited and most rumored devices are now official. Yes the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge are unpacked by Samsung. The Samsung with its Note Edge success has placed another smartphone with “Edge” in its product line.

We have discussed a lot about this flagship duo previously but we will surely discuss what it will bring again. The new Galaxy S6 is unlike the previous models of series. From all plastic body it has shifted to dual glass design with metal frame. There is camera hump at the back plus it is not water and dust resistant.

Samsung Galaxy S6 packs a 5.1″ Super AMOLED screen with QHD resolution which brings ultimate 577 ppi density. It packs Corning Gorilla Glass 4. The Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge has screen with curved at both edges unlike Note Edge which has a single curve. It also has 5.1″ Super AMOLED display with Quad HD resolution of 2,560 x 1,440 pixels. It is sheltered by a curved Corning Gorilla Glass 4, too.

The Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge pack an in-house chipset Exynos 7420 which packs similar features as those of Snapdragon 810. The chipset comes with octa-core 64-bit CPU with four Cortex-A57 cores working at 2.1GHz and four Cortex-A53 tickled at 1.5GHz. Further its uses a Mali-T760 GPU accompanying 3GB LPDDR4 of RAM which is a new generation of RAM already introduced by LG G Flex 2.

The flagship duo has a 16MP camera boosted by optical image stabilization, phase detection autofocus and has a single-LED flash. It is likely to capture 4K video recording. Further it carries a 5MP front facing shooter.

Finally, both devices run Android 5.0 Lollipop with the latest TouchWiz UI on top. The TouchWiz on the Galaxy S6 Edge displays different option on edges of the screen, including a fresher and improved version of the Quick Glance info for the lockscreen.

This time Samsung is offering Microsoft’s OneDrive storage for 2 years instead of Dropbox’s. Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge are expected to launch in April in 20 markets. Then soon it will make its way to 7 more countries in May. The Galaxy S6 will come in White Pearl, Black Sapphire, Gold Platinum, Blue Topaz colors, while you can have the Galaxy S6 edge in White Pearl, Black Sapphire, Gold Platinum, Green Emerald colors.
