How to root Samsung galaxy S6

Now as we have already explained the Android rooting. Today we would guide you with the rooting for Samsung galaxy S6

We would be rooting Android 5.0.2 by using ODIN and the CF Auto root tool

Note: Rooting your Samsung smartphone will void its manufacturer’s warranty and you may damage your device. In case of any damage in any form while following this tutorial mobile phone collection will not to be held responsible in anyways. You may proceed at your own risk.

 How to root Samsung galaxy S6

Steps:

 

  1. Back-Up

To save your date first back up your data

You can either

  • Copy all the data from you mobile to your SD card and remove it.
  • Transfer data to your PC.
  • Backups can also be done through using Samsung Kies.

 

  1. Download USB drivers for your Samsung Galaxy S6

Download the drivers and install them on your PC or Laptop, so that you can connect your smartphone with your PC successfully. Use the following links.

Either

  • Download Samsung USB Drivers from here(http://www.devfiles.co/download/AbRa7wHc/SAMSUNG_USB_Driver_for_Mobile_Phones.exe)
  • Download Samsung KIES(http://www.samsung.com/in/support/usefulsoftware/KIES/) (Includes Drivers)

 

  1. Enable USB debugging mode on your Samsung galaxy S6

To enable the USB debugging mode, follow these steps.

 

  • Go to Settings on your smartphone
  • Scroll down and find ‘Developer Options’ and tap there
  • Enable USB debugging and OEM Unlocking

If the Developer Options isn’t visible in Settings menu. You can still make it visible by following these steps.

 

 

  • Go to Settings on your smartphone
  • Scroll down till you see “About Device” or “About Phone” and tap there
  • Tap on Build Number for 5-7 times to make the Developer Options visible
  • Now follow the standard steps to enable USB debugging and OEM Unlocking

 

  1. Download the root package for your S6

Now download the root package for your S6.

 

  • Go to Settings on your smartphone
  • Scroll down till you see “About Device” or “About Phone” and tap there
  • Note down the model number

Now use the link download the root package for your SM-G920F(http://www.devfiles.co/download/ncWbvwgv/CF-Auto-Root-zeroflte-zerofltexx-smg920f.zip).  Now extract the Galaxy S6 CF Auto Root package and save your files in a folder in your PC.

After downloading the firmware, you would need to download Odin

  • Download the Odin3(http://www.devfiles.co/download/CAHmXM6c/Odin_v3.09.zip)
  • Save the file on your PC and extract it.

 

 

  1. Fastboot mode

Open your smartphone in Fastboot mode by following these steps.

 

  • Make sure that your smartphone is not connected to any PC.
  • Switch off your smartphone.
  • Press and hold the Volume Down, Home simultaneously and then press the Power button till you see a warning sign.
  • If agreeing, press Volume Up to confirm.

When your device boots into the download mode please connect it to your computer using the original USB data cable only

 

  1. Process on your PC

After connecting your device, open the folder where you have extracted the Odin.

  • Find the Odin3.exe and open it. If you have proper USB drivers of your device in your PC, one of the ID:COM portals will turn yellow. This might take some time.
  • Click on the ‘PDA’ and browse to the file which you have to flash on your phone. This is the CF Auto-Root file you had previously downloaded. Select the extracted file.
  • Check the Auto Reboot and F. Reset Time boxes.
  • Click on the ‘Start’ button.

After few minutes your smartphone will reboot automatically. Now you can disconnect your smartphone from the PC. Now as we explained before check for the SuperSU application in the app drawer to confirm if your smartphone is rooted or not.
