Verizon has already started working with Alcatel-Lucent, Cisco, Ericsson, Nokia, Qualcomm and Samsung to keep testing this network. Verizon has built the whole set up at Waltham, Mass., and San Francisco, for testing 5G signals.

Verizon 5G will be 50 times faster than 4G and users can download the whole film in seconds. Apart from Verizon in US, 5G pipeline in South Korea is also on the go whereby it is expected to complete till Pyeongchang Winter Olympics. Similarly Japan want to get ready with the 5G services at the start of Summer Olympic Games. With this the mobile phone manufacturers need to build their mobile connectivity with respect to 5G option.

“5G is no longer a dream of the distant future. We feel a tremendous sense of urgency to push forward on 5G and mobilize the ecosystem by collaborating with industry leaders and developers to usher in a new generation of innovation.”-Roger Gurnani, Executive VP, Verizon

“The Verizon-led effort keeps the communications industry in the U.S. vibrant and globally competitive. A lot of development and requirements for 5G networks have so far come from Asian operators. It’s exciting to see a U.S. company accelerate the rate of innovation and introduce new partners.”-Rima Qureshi, Chief Strategy Officer, Ericsson
