PTA, Dr. Ismail Shah has announced that 5G services will be available in Pakistan in few years. 5G services has been designed for Pakistan and work is underway.

He was addressing International Communication Union which was held in collaboration with Global Telecom. He said that every other region in the world liked to surpass others when it comes to technology due to which Telecom authorities were facing major challenges.

He said as an answer to the question that 5G technology was currently not introduced for commercial purposes. Few countries are just experimenting with the technology. He also said that IT and telecom were expanding in banking, health and educational sector.

Further he mentioned that Pakistan is far ahead in the region when it comes to IT and Telecom and is working for it promotion. He elaborated that women could play a major role in IT sector and could contribute to flourish it well.
