Mobile phone companies have confirmed that their networks’ infrastructure has remained safe during and after the earthquake and there are no losses reported. The deadly earthquake shook Pakistan, Afghanistan and parts of India and Iran on October 26, 2015 with the magnitude of 8.1 Rectar scale.

All five companies have confirmed that no single cell site went offline during and after the earthquake due to jolts. Mobile Phone companies did admit that networks got congested due to a lot of traffic but it wasn’t due to any damage in infrastructure as claimed by various news channels.

Telecoms said that the networks improved their working later on and are still in progress to be better as the time is passing. Mobile phone companies will keep on monitoring the networks for the aftershocks.

Telecos further emphasized that users can switch to data services in case the mobile signals are missing due to less traffic on internet side.
