Oppo A5 is now official
Oppo’s latest midrange smartphone is now official and it is, after all, the Oppo A5 and not A3s. Listings from TENAA had provided us with most of the details a few days ago, but now everything has been finalized and put in place.
The Oppo A5 comes with a 6.2 inches LCD with a 1520 px X 720 px resolution in a 19:9 body to screen aspect ratio. Not much need to mention that there’s a notch top of the phone screen.
The chipset in charge is the Snapdragon 450 with its octa core CPU clocked at 1.8 GHz. The official website says 4 GB of RAM, but the regulator listing mentioned a 3 GB version too – perhaps later on. Internal storage is 64 GB with a microSD slot offering the possibility for expansion.
There’s a dual camera on the back with a 13 MP f/2.2 primary shooter and an additional 2 MP f/2.4 module for depth detection – portrait mode confirmed. Over on the front, an 8 MP cam takes selfies.
The handset measures 156.2 x 75.6 x 8.2 mm and weighs in at 168 grams. Mind you, that’s with a large 4230 mAh battery inside. Couple that with the efficient 14 nano meter chip, and the A5 promises excellent battery life.
The Oppo A5 is listed for pre-order with sales starting on July 13. Price is set at CNY 1500 or some $ 225. The price of the Oppo A5 in Pakistan is expected to be Rs. 28,500 approximately.
