Ever since Oppo has made its return to flagships, it is also increasing its efforts in the affordable phones segment. Images and specifications of an Oppo A5 have recently come out that reveal a picture that’s part Oppo A3, part Realme 1 and part its own particular thing.
The phone will have a 6.2” inches screen with 19:9 aspect ratio and a notch similar to the A3, but with lower screen resolution i.e. 720 x 1520 pixels. It will be powered by a 1.8 GHz Octa-core processor on what is allegedly a Snapdragon 450 chipset (which is a downgrade from the Helio P60 chipset). Memory remains the same though, 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB storage (possibly expandable).
Interestingly, the Oppo A5 will be an upgrade over its siblings in two areas. First is the dual camera on its back which is a 13 MP and 2 MP configuration.
The back of the device is copied from the Realme phone, though the A5 is slightly thicker and so it will have a larger battery. Actually, the 4230 mAh capacity is large by any measure. Anyway, the back is the same also in the sense that there’s no fingerprint reader on it. The 8 MP selfie camera will provide the face unlock functionality.
The launch date or pricing is not confirmed yet, but given the specs we expect that the Oppo A5 price in Pakistan will be the same or be slightly cheaper than the A3 and Realme 1.
