A market research firm namely Counterpoint has recently reported that Huawei has become the second largest smartphone manufacturing company in the world after surpassing Apple vis-à-vis sales and revenue. Huawei, the Chinese company, has gained this success throughout the month of June and July.

Samsung still retains the first position, while in August too, Huawei has retained the second spot, which means it is a hat-trick for the latter to have second-highest smartphone sales in the world.

Counterpoint report has also revealed the best-selling smartphones for the month of July and August, according to which Apple iPhone 7 as well as 7 Plus top the charts. After that, OPPO R11 and A57 came on third and fourth position. Among other devices making into the top 10 were Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+, and Xiaomi Redmi Note 4X.
