Recently published a market research report revealing that Samsung has topped smartphone shipment for Q2 for the current year with total market share of 26.8% backed by the strong sales of Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge. Apple was expectedly secured the second demand, thanks to the huge sale and demand of iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. Also the bigger version of iPhone 6 has entered early production so a news is sure later this quarter.
Huawei is leading the Chinese market with 7.6% market share in smartphone shipments and 18.3% among Chinese OEMs. The company forecasted to ship 100million units this year. The third largest manufacturer Xiaomi also performed well surpassing Lenovo and Chinese OEMs and also LG on global front.
TrendForce estimates the downward trend in shipments this year compared to last year due to weakening demand and adverse global economic outlook for the rest of the year.
