Samsung has become one of the biggest smartphone manufacturing companies in the world and it has swiftly become the main rival of Apple in no time.

The latest Samsung flagship, i.e. Samsung Galaxy S8, experienced the highest sales in second quarter of 2017, i.e. during the period starting from May and ending in July. More than 10.2 million units of Samsung S8 were shipped in this entire period.

Although we have reported earlier that the Apple iPhone 7 had the highest sales in the second quarter, but here we are talking about the overall sales by a smartphone manufacturing company. And when we talk about Samsung, which releases more than 40 mobile phone models every year as compared to Apple which releases a couple or three iPhones, sales are clearly led by Samsung in that respect.

The other emerging competitors of Samsung and Apple are Xiaomi, HTC and Huawei. However, they will take a long time to leave Samsung or Apple behind.
