HTC has not been up to providing security updates to its users with reason that Google, Samsung and LG are rendering an unnecessary service for its Android devices.

The message was seen in tweet by HTC America President Jason Mackenzie said that if the company aims to roll out regular updates, but,  guaranteeing an update each month is not possible as it also needs an approval from carrier selling HTC.

HTC purports security updates as unnecessary.

These updates by Google, Samsung, and LG were initiated in the light of new vulnerability dubbed Stagefright. This has already infected version 2.2 and the latest OS, meanwhile, a new Stagefright has also been discovered whose updates are on the way.
