Very Recently, Samsung and Google announced that they will be rolling out monthly security updates to the users since ‘Stagefright’ has exploited the devices. Now another OEM is joining the league which LG that ensured monthly updates to its users.

LG will now provide monthly updates to users like Google and Samsung

LG spokesperson assured Wired that the company will be providing security updates on a monthly basis, which carriers will then release to users. A Google employee also confirmed this at the Black Hat 2015 security conference.

No doubt that security is becoming a major concern every day, it is significant that manufacturers roll out important security updates to devices on a regular basis rather than waiting for major software updates to push them through, which could take months. Users will then worry less about the update to come to resolve a long-standing security issues.
