Apple is undoubtedly witnessing decline in its market share but at the same time leads the tablet market all over the globe. As per IDC, Q1 witnessed shipment of 39.6 million tablet units. This is a downfall of 14.7. Before this, the total tablet sale accounted for 46.4 million. Apple is on top shipping 10.3 million units for the given period. Apple is now leading 25.9% of the tablet market. In the same quarter of last year it had 27.5% of market share.

Samsung comes second in the race of tablet shipment but also declared decline of 28.1% year-on-year. The tech giant shipped 6 million during Q1. Samsung is followed by Amazon.com. Lenovo has 2.2 percent share and Huawei managed to sell 2.1 million tablets standing at 5^th. This is 5.2 percent of market doubling the previous figure of 24% during Q1 last year.

Detachable Tablets also ruled the shipment figures with 4.9 million shipped in Q1. Again, the Apple iPad Pro dominated the market of Detachable tablets and beat its most likely rival Microsoft Surface Line. Meanwhile, IDC is speculating that surface line can get back its throne since the business community has very unique experience with Windows.
