Tablets are now in high demand as they used to be in the recent past. The fourth quarter of 2017 observed a sharp decline of 7.9% in case of shipments of tablets in comparison of the same period in 2016. On the other hand, there was an overall 6.5% decline in tablets’ sales in 2017 as compared to 2016.

Even though the overall tablet sales are in decline, Apple, Huawei and Amazon have managed to grow in tablet business overall in 2017 and in the fourth quarter in particular.

According to the report, Apple shipped the most number of tablets in 4^th quarter of 2017. Owing to some of the most aggressive discounts, Amazon managed to ship the second highest number of tablets.

Unfortunately, Samsung declined to third spot, and there was a decline of 13% shipments in the 4^th quarter of 2017 in comparison of the same period of 2016. As a matter of fact, Samsung did manage to retain the second highest number of shipments in the previous year.

Lastly, despite a few lackluster efforts, Huawei still managed to achieve the better quarterly growth of 11.9% where as the annual improvement rose to 28%.
