Facebook Messenger and WhatsApp has now reached many miles. The Messenger has reached 900 million users. Now Facebook has released how many messages it has processed when combined with WhatsApp messages.

60 billion messages are daily operated via Messenger and WhatsApp.

This was announced on the F8 Developers Conference held by Facebook by Mark Zuckerberg. For comparison the daily message quantum by mobile users is 20 billion. While in 2015, the daily message processing by WhatsApp alone is 30 Billion.

The 60 billion stats is combination of both messenger and WhatsApp where Messenger has 900 million users. It is not necessarily the number of messages increasing but the number of users are increasing on both fronts.
