Xiaomi started a new online store in Europe but without phones

Xiaomi recently visited San Francisco and announced its plans for opening stores but not to sell phones. Xiaomi is kicking off with low life products like wearable, headphones and power banks. We hope that it will sell its Mi Pro Action camera too. Unsurprisingly Xiaomi is planning the same for every market including Europe. Company’s VP Hugo Barra shared the Mi.com will be launching on the EU market this year.

“It’s going to be a different Mi.com experience from what we have in our markets in Asia, because we’re not selling phones. We’re only going to sell a small number of our hero accessories, things like the Mi Band, studio-grade headphones, in-ear headphones and the world’s most popular power banks.”

Xiaomi vice president also shared similar views saying that they want to sell accessories in EU and US market, the phone division will be limited to Asia only. We are currently working in India and it’s a huge market and already a lot of burden to deal with.

We hope someday Xiaomi will sell officially in US and EU but till then the fans have to rely on unofficial resellers and expensive imports.
