We previously reported that Xiaomi is interested in opening physical stores in India and it did open but the initial intention was to sell accessories. Also it has planned to open a store in San Francisco which is under works. This store too will aim at selling accessories. In India Xiaomi sell its devices through Flipkart but now for the first time smartphones will sell in physical stores in the country. Previously it partnered with Airtel, an Indian telecom operator, to sell Redmi Note 4G in its official store.

Now Xiaomi has partnered exclusively The Mobile Store to sell the Redmi Note 4G and Mi 4 smartphones in the physical stores starting with New Delhi.

Recently, the company has also announced its plans to sell 100 million smartphones this year and selling more through physical store is a part of strategy
