Xiaomi is to be third leading vendor of the World but interestingly it never leaves its homeland. Recently it was rumored to open a shop in India but there is a sudden turn in plans and the company is now taking a trip to US. Xiaomi has planned to hold an event in San Francisco on February 12. The purpose of event is yet not revealed- is it a new store opening, recruiting employees or just visiting? The company has already launched two devices, Redmi Note 2 and Mi Note (also the Pro version); the company might be up for a new announcement.
It can be undoubtedly noticed that San Francisco is birthplace of many tech giants and with both Google and Apple campuses not residing far off, there is a fair chance of another startup. This is no coincidence of place as it sends candid message to former giants that Xiaomi will be the next in the Top 3 League.
