Xiaomi, a Chinese mobile manufacturing company, has recently announced the limited edition variant of its flagship Redmi Note 4, which will be in lake blue color. The phone will be available from September 4 and this light blue color will only come with the top of the line specifications, i.e. 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage.

The reason behind the release of Lake Blue variant is to create awareness among people in India to clean up the lakes in Bengaluru City of India. Many of the lakes in the city were lost due to encroachments, and this is one initiative by Xiaomi to invest the funds collected from sales of this phone that will go to the rebuilding as well as cleaning of lakes in the city. Moreover, this comes as a part of campaign called ‘Wake the Lake’ by Xiaomi due to which Lake Blue version of Redmi Note 4 has been released.
