Snowden referred to Britain’s Government Communications Headquarters (GCHQ) agency and said: “They want to own your phone instead of you”

Snowden guaranteed that GCHQ used tools like “Smurf Suite” to capture information, after the blue toon characters, The Smurfs. He further assured that “Nosey Smurf” can switch on the cell phone’s loudspeaker regardless of the probability that the telephone is powered off. GCHQ is using different names like “Tracker Smurf” and “Fantastic Smurf”, which helps telephones to be swapped on and off slightly, Snowden confirmed.

He said “the instant message sent by GCHQ to obtain entrance to the telephone would not be seen by its proprietor.”

He also cleared: “It’s called an ‘exploit, When it arrives at your phone it’s hidden from you. It doesn’t display. You paid for it but whoever controls the software owns the phone.”
