It has always been a matter of concern for customers to detect or at least find the location of their lost phones. There has been mobile snatching growing up as well as mobile misplacement by the user. Nowadays trackers and software have been built to solve these issues. One such application to perform the task is Android Device Manager by Google. Android Device Manager is fully proficient of tracking tablets and smartphones that are associated with Google account. You are good if your device runs on Android 2.2 at the very least. Follow the following step to get trained to use it.

First of all, open the official page of Android Device Manager in order to enable Lock and Erase. After that, you shall receive a confirmatory text message from Google. Simply click on the Activate button and road to next step is smoothened.

In case of lost mobile phone, rush to the website and select the number of devices connected to the Google account. Obviously, you would select the lost device. If it is lying anywhere nearby click the option “Ring”. The device will start ringing for the next five minutes.

If you lose the device away from home, you would simply like to lock it. Select Lock option and they would ask for a lock screen password. Lock the access to your data. There is also “Recovery” option alongside in case the lost mobile is found which immediately informs you that device has been recovered by someone.

When there is chance of no recovery use Erase option and delete the entire data and say goodbye to device once for all.

Android Device Manager fails to detect or track in terms of mobile has been switched off or offline and even in the flight mode. But as the thief tries to sell the device it may be tracked easily through the application.
