The next in line and the new increment of Qualcomm Snapdragon series is now a reality. The successor of Snapdragon 820 is finally out and every other manufacture is waiting to deploy it in its next device to test what credibility it brings.

Snapdragon 821 goes official.

The SoC is not replacing 820 system chip as it is meant to serve as an interim solution. There is nothing like a new-generation but Snapdragon 821 is a just an increment to old chipset. However, the next-generation will be built with some amazing features.

Here are some improvements in Snapdragon 820.  It is also a quad-core chip, but 10% faster, as Qualcomm has worked on its clock speeds. Just like its last base model of 820, the new 821 is featuring two high-performing Kryo CPU cores that can operate at higher clock speed. Moreover, it has two battery-savvy Kryo cores that can operate at slower pace. Comparing the performance of Kryo cores the cluster of 820 was clocked at up to 2.2GHz, on the 821, the clock speed goes up to 2.4GHz, while the battery-savvy cluster is up graded from 1.6GHz to 2GHz.

The Chipset is built on 14nm process and will operate 650 GPU for handling graphics. Samsung US version of Note 7 and next in line Nexus are likely to pack SD 821.
