The Samsung J1 is hardly 5 months old that we started hearing the rumors of its successors J2. It will probably be dubbed Galaxy J2 and will have model number SM-J200F. We also know that the device recently visited the benchmark and has now a complete set of specs leaked out.

Samsung J2 detailed spec sheet leaked

The Samsung Galaxy J2 will come with 4.5-inch 800×480 touchscreen and home-grown 32-bit Exynos 3475 SoC, featuring a 1.2 GHz quad-core CPU. In camera department it features a 5 MP rear camera and a 2 MP Selfie shooter. Further it packs 1.5 GB of RAM, 8GB of expandable internal storage. The device will be powered by a 2,000mAh battery and will run Android 5.1.1 Lollipop and at last we’ll find Samsung’s J2 dimensions to be 136 x 69 x 8.3 mm.

If we compare it to its predecessor, there is slight increase in screen size, 1GB of extra RAM, double the storage space, a more powerful battery, and two extra processor cores along with a better chipset. Irrespective of the fact that it is still low-end, the Galaxy J2 is quite the upgrade in terms of both hardware and software (the J1 runs Android 4.4 KitKat).

The J2 might launch in India first, followed by other emerging markets. As far as the pricing is concerned, it is likely to be cheaper and value-driven.
