Samsung has announced that it will discontinue its “Link” application and it will not be available for download from 1 November 2016.
Samsung has stated with reference to its internal policy that users still would be able to access their data. The files would still be there on the registered devices and cloud storage until the user deletes them. But Samsung did not say anything about the duration of data accessibility that how long it could be accessed.
Some users are saying that they are not able to delete the link application from their devices. Samsung has advised them to update the link application and then delete the application.
Same goes with Smart TV that the application needs to be updated so that it could be deleted
The Link application is too old as it was launched in Samsung galaxy S3. After four years they have finally said good bye to it.
