The update arrives over-the-air and it’s a 209MB download. Once it will be installed, you are running Android 7.0 Nougat still; no 7.1 here. The built number for the update by Samsung is N920TUVU4EQE1.

Such an update may take a few days to reach all Note5 devices by T-Mobile which is always the case. But if you wish to explore it right now, you can check it manually by heading to Settings >About device.
