Already Qualcomm has introduced first 5G modem i.e. Snapdragon X50 and now company is gearing up a next generation push for the smartphones. Company has announced that they’ve prepared first of its kind 5G data connection by using Snapdragon X50, they used 28 GHz millimeter wave spectrum to get to gigabit speeds. And not just that, Qualcomm has launched its debut 5G reference design for mobile.

The mobile reference design would help the manufacturers to start making their next year’s phone with the 5G data guide Qualcomm has provided. With 5G data, smartphones like iPhone X, Samsung Galaxy S8 and their successors would get more of data connection.

Qualcomm 5G data connection isn’t something of excitement because the news is here for quite some time but now they have developed millimeter wave antenna module. They think gigabit is feasible in comparison to last year’s 5G deployments. Gigabit LTE would speeds performances between 100-300Mbps. And all this in real world, this creates an excitement because Qualcomm would launch this by the year 2019.
