Facebook has started rolling out its end-to-end encryption feature in starting July 2016 for it Messenger app. The social media giant has now delivered this feature to everyone. This feature is available for 900 million users.

The feature should be activated for utilization. If you want to start a new chat, tap the new icon chat at right top. Click on the Secret on top. Now select the person you want to begin chat with and start messaging.

If you want to activate the same feature for ongoing chat. Open the message thread and Click on the name of recipient at the top. Click “Secret Conversation” to activate the feature.

However, if you don’t see the encryption in your messenger, then you don’t have the latest version. Update you app in order this Secret Conversation to work. This Secret feature does not allow GIFs and Videos.

Most importantly, you can only read your secret conversation from the device it happened. You can also send or receive you message from this device only.
