Android Things, Google Home isn’t just one product but Google want to have it in IoT market and there are huge plans underneath. Calling functionality would allow users at Home to let go their phones.

Amazon announced Alexa to be in virtual space on literally any device, and Google don’t want to leave behind in the race. Android Things is an OS and framework for Google to have it on IoT devices.
