We have recently heard about the project Galaxy O which will soon unveil a new alphabetic line of smartphones. Moreover it has also been predicted by an analyst Munster that it will be a VR-centric phone or may be entirely a headset. Samsung already had a solid partnership with Oculus for the Gear-VR so it is more likely to be a Galaxy O phone aimed to focus virtual reality.
The latest Galaxy Note5 and Galaxy S6 edge+ were launched without VR functionality so Sammy might be shifting the whole feature to one line up. Samsung co-CEO JK Shin did say that the third-gen Gear VR will be introduced “soon” but didn’t explicitly pointed it for the Note5 and Galaxy S6 edge+.
Oculus is now landing into a developer’s conference “Connect 2” on September 23. The other opportunity to launch for a Galaxy O/ Gear VR is the upcoming IFA that will also showcase the Gear S2 smartwatch.
