The big-sized device with a stylus pen and pixel-packed screen experience has converged to bring the best in the Note’s line-up in Samsung. However, the availability issues did bring some infuriation in Europe but got settled with a South Korean article mentioning the Note will reach there within August.

As far as design goes, the body has the metal and glass built just in line with Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 edge, however, the display is the same as Note 4 with 5.7-inch AMOLED screen and an increased pixel density of 518 pixel per inch. The device is 7.6mm thick. The screen resolution is quite high as compared to Note 4 i.e. 2,560×1,440 pixels. It has more flat face and straight sides with the corners curved. Moreover, it less bulky than Note 4. The Home Button below the screen also serves as finger-print scanner. The power lock button is on right while volume rocker is on left. The S pen holster is at the bottom with headset jacks.

As we know the stellar feature is the S-Pen, this is first stylus device introduced by Samsung in 2015. The S Pen can works as multiple task doer like writing implement, pointer and navigational accomplice. You can work with it to pull menu dialog box, previews photo or video when you hover over it. It also works with those touch-sensitive menu buttons and the physical home button. You can also drag and drop text, and capture the screen. Samsung has asserted thatpen writes more fluently this time around. I also felt while writing that 5’s S Pen feels a touch lighter which makes writing easier as compared to the Note 4‘s slightly heavier pen.

Some new features include a circular menu containing more frequent Apps used. It runs by default, but you can turn it off in settings. It also customizable, you can do it by adding three Apps of your choice. Another feature is Instant memo or called screen off memo, this memo lets you write a note even when screen is off. It gets alive since you pull out your stylus pen or just in while you do that.

In the Last comes the camera performance, the Note5 holds a 16MP rear camera with wider aperture lens, the same that is used in S6 and S6 edge. It specifically works better in low-light conditions. Note5 also has optical image stabilization with auto-HDR right on the screen, panorama and selective focus as separate modes within. The front camera is 5MP shooter. What we saw is the more juicy and saturated low-light photos but we still look forward for some clear daytime pictures.

Overall the performance is also speedy as it runs latest in-house chipset and latest 4GB RAM. The Note5 can however be more competing if it would have removable battery and microSD as well. Samsung had experienced issues with S6 and S6 edge over these announcements.
