Asus has announced the ZenFone 3 Zoom along with ZenFone AR at the CES 2017 tech show held in January. The ZenFone AR was launched in India at a price of Rs. 49,999 on Thursday July 13. Now, it seems that it is time to launch the ZenFone 3 Zoom in India by Asus. The Asus company’s South Country Regional Head, Peter Chang mentioned on the ZenFone AR launch event Asia that they are gearing up to launch the ZenFone 3 Zoom soon in India.

However, Chang hasn’t unveiled the launch date for the ZenFone 3 Zoom smartphone in India, a report by 91mobiles from authentic sources claims that the smartphone will be launched in India in the mid of August.

The Asus ZenFone 3 Zoom has a 5.5-inch FHD 1080p AMOLED display along with the protection of Gorilla Glass 4. The smartphone is running an octa-core Snapdragon 625 processor coupled with Adreno 506 graphics unit. The device has been announced in different storage and variants such as 3GB and 4GB RAM and 32GB, 64GB and 128GB internal storage space that can be expandable by using a microSD card up to 2TB.

The ZenFone 3 Zoom carries a hybrid dual SIM card slot and running on Android 6.0 Marshmallow paired with Zen UI 3.0. The connectivity options include 4G VoLTE support and USB Type-C port. The smartphone houses a massive 5000mAh battery. The smartphone has 12MP rear camera with f/1.7 aperture, dual-tone LED flash, PDAF and laser AR. There is also a secondary camera with 5P Largen lens and f/2.0 aperture. The front selfie camera is of 13MP with Sony IMX214 sensor and a similar aperture.
