ASUS in collaboration with Foxconn plans to manufacture smartphones in India

ASUS has finally announced that it will manufacture smartphones in India with the help of Foxconn supporting India’s ‘Make in India’ campaign. The Foxconn’s production facility in Sri City, AndheraPardesh will manufacture smartphones.Zenfone 2 Laser will be the first phone to get manufactured there, followed by the Zenfone Go ASUS plans to manufacture approx.

150,000 smartphones in India/ month by the end of the current financial year. This accounts for 80% of sales in India.“India offers us a huge opportunity as smartphone penetration is just 10%. He further added, “We are aggressively targeting the Indian market. We aim to achieve 5% market share in the country by next year and empower all our customers with luxury.
