Apple is now urging to expand its Apple Pay services to the biggest market of the World. Yes the China Launch of the service is expected. The US giant is likely to spread this platform with its steep commission onto the banks and the often mistrustful retailers alike.Up till now its support in US and Canada has not proven a challenge but definitely the Chines market has tightly prohibited these payment practices at least for now.

A report, however, suggests that this trend might change as Apple is close to releasing Apple Pay in China. Apparently Cupertino has already registered an organization on June 10 with the name Apple Technology Service Shanghai Ltd. within the Shanghai free-trade zone that will be charged with coordinating Apple Pay, as the Shanghai government’s company-registration database confirms.

The organization will perform “consulting, services and system integration in the field of payments” which is the evidence that Apple is expanding. Initially Apple was also looking for partnership with Alibaba. This was potential path to initiate these services in China through an incorporation with the company’s own Alipay system. This however does not make the UnionPayto control the NFC payment system in the country so there is no going around the regulations.

However, with the search of this $13.4 million capital subsidiary, there is a clear indication that Apple has managed to come across some gateway, meaning that it can finally access China’s huge market, with over 400 million digital payment users on Alipay alone.

Hopefully, we won’t have to wait for long for an official announcement over this matter.
