At the end of year 2017, there was rumors about Apple launching a follow-up to the lowest priced iPhone in its lineup, the iPhone SE. But subsequent reports said that Apple Inc. would launch only three iPhone models in 2018, which includea 5.8-inch model with an OLED panel (iPhone Xs),a 6.1-inch version with an LCD display (iPhone 9), and a massive 6.5-inch unit with an OLED display (iPhone Xs Plus).

But that seemingly is not the last word about a probable Apple iPhone SE 2. Recently a news came from China says that the iPhone SE could still be released this year, featuring a marginally larger 4.2-inch display. The device will be powered by the A10 fusion chipset and likely to carry 2GB of RAM coupled with 32GB of internal storage. There will be a variant offering 128GB of built-in storage as well. The iPhone SE 2 will come with the Touch ID home button. The phone will carry the 2nd generation version of the fingerprint sensor, which is quicker than the OG unit used in the iPhone SE. According to the latest rumor, the Apple iPhone SE 2 will be unveiled at the WWDC 2018. Reportedly, the price of iPhone SE 2 in China will be almost CNY 4,000 (approx. USD $630.16).
