The contract includes patents related to GSM, UMTS, and LTE standards. Moreover it also comprises unspecified patent rights. The contract’s life is seven year, and it specifies initial payment from Apple, covering the royalties afterwards, which comes as unrevealed amount.

However on the announcement, Ericsson did declare where its year’s revenues will stand from intellectual property rights, mentioning the number would go up to SEK 13-14 billion ($1.52-$1.64 billion). If we compare it to SEK 9.9 billion from last year, this will give us a bit idea of magnitude of deal with Apple.
