On Monday, Amazon has made an announcement that their acquisition of Souq.com has been completed. Souq.com is a Dubai based marketplace and online retail one stop solution.As a first step of integration, customers can login to Souq.com by using their Amazon credentials, as it was said in a joint statement by both companies.

Amazon Solidifies Its Deal with Souq.com, Acquisition is Complete Now

Deal of acquisition was signed in March 2017, which was a clear signal that ecommerce giant has gained entry into the Middle Eastern market.

“Joining the Amazon family enables Souq.com to continue to bring even more products and services to customers in the region and further expand “Fulfilled by Souq” to empower sellers”, the statement said.

CEO and cofounder Ronaldo Mouchawar thinks it is an exhilarating time for the ecommerce industry to excel in the region. With Amazon, they will be able to offer customers with more of product selection, reduced prices, first rate service for customers and enhanced delivery times.
