YouTube is going to launch a dedicated music streaming service, and the official announcement for it has been made already. The YouTube Music app will be available from next week.
On 22nd May, to be precise, the YouTube app will be launched officially and initially the music streaming service will be free but will come with a few restrictions. In the free version, we can expect that there will be background playback as well as ads.
On the other hand, YouTube Music Premium account will cost the user $9.99 every month, in which ads will not be displayed. The cost is double as compared to Spotify. However, we still have to wait for the exact size of its music library.
The app will come with several significant features that are not offered by its competitor apps, e.g. advanced search for searching song, personalized home screen, per-occasion playlists and recommendations. Initially, the app will not be available for Pakistani users, as most of the western countries including US and UK will get it in the first phase.
