After the Financial report of Q4 2015, Yahoo has decided to lay off 1700 employees. This will be 15% of total employees. The remaining number of employees will now be 9000. With this Yahoo has also decided to shut down its five international offices.

With the decrease in employees, yahoo operation expense is likely to reduce by 400 million dollar. Yahoo took this decision after a considerable loss of 4 to 5 billion dollar in Quarter 4.
