Last year in July, Microsoft announced that it will be cutting off approximately 7,800 employees in its mobile division due to dwindling revenues from the industry. Now it is planning to lay off a dozens of more from it struggling mobile unit.Though the exact number has been revealed, yet it was made obvious that the new round of lay off has nothing to do with July’s announcement. Also, those being fired will then become a part of marketing team attached to company’s mobile subsidiary in Finland.
This news comes directly after the release of financial report by the firm where the company revealed that 4.5 million units of Lumia were sold in Q4 of 2015 against 10.5 million in Q4 of 2014 reducing the earning by almost 45%.
