HTC is not only planning to launch One E9 and E9+ in near future, but we can now keep a close eye on a budgeted flagship whose specs have been recently leaked by upleaks. This shows that an array of devices is in works at HTC production facility. The new smartphone dubbed HTC A50AML will later get a new moniker which is more appealing for flagship models.

The leaked specs show that the alleged device will run on MediaTek MT6752 chipset with octa-core CPU clocked at 1.6 GHz, which certainly means HTC is moving away from Qualcomm Snapdragon and is trying different solutions for low budget handsets.

Other specs include a 13MP rear camera and a 4MP Ultrapixel camera. IT packs 2GB of RAM and 16GB of onboard storage. The handset will run Android 5.0 Lollipop out-of-the-box with Sense UI on top. There is no information about launch, pricing and availability for now.
