Initially this version was used by many famous personalities, which is now available to everyone.

While updating to WhatsApp Gold the green color of logo turns golden. At the end of message a link has been given to upgrade to Gold version.

This is to warn you that WhatsApp has introduced no version with the name WhatsApp Gold. Neither has it introduced many features as mentioned above. After opening link a page open that says error 404, this might be way of hackers to extract info from your App.
