Sony Xperia X is almost a year old, so the new variant will take its place any time now. However, Sony Xperia XZs and Xperia XZ Premium handsets launched within this year are also giving critics a hint that Sony might not launch the new set with X2 name.

Sony Xperia X2 Could be Launched at IFA 2017

Sony Xperia X2 will be the successor of the Xperia X. The release date of the handset isn’t sure, but it is being expected that IFA 2017 event might be the possibility. Cost of the handset is said to be same like any upper mid-range smartphone.

At MWC 2017, many enthusiasts of smartphone industry were expecting X2 launch but Sony announced rather 2 other smartphones. IFA event in September from 1-6 is where android phone lovers eying to as Sony has used the event for the launch of its handsets before.

Rumors saying that Sony isn’t working on single handset but on five, 2 of them were revealed in October. Model numbers G3112 and G3121 haven’t been linked to any Sony phone and yet to be announced.
