A couple of weeks ago we had rumors that Samsung might use Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 in its next flagship model. Previously the Korean tech giant announced that it will rely on in-house chipset for its next flagship devices. Also the Exynos has proved a better performing deal with S6 while the previous Qualcomm Snapdragon has faced controversial feedback due to overheating issues.

Currently the Snapdragon 820 is undergoing intensive testing. The result of these tests will purport whether the company would go for Snapdragon 820 for Galaxy S7 or not.

As we previously saw that how SD 810 was disqualified against Exynos due to overheating issue, this time the SD 820 is likely to put the ball in the court. There could be an equal chance that in-house deal though a better option proved more costly. Whatever, the case was Samsung has dully realized how important Qualcomm’s association to its most selling brand.
