Samsung still leading the market, Q2 report says.

Something that does sells a lot, does not sails a lot and this is what recent Counterpoint research has suggested for its recent findings on Q2 report of who has won the market leadership. No doubt that innovation rests with every tech giant but few manages to sell it well. Samsung has again managed to grab the title despite of disappointing target accomplishment in terms of S6 and S6 edge, how, let’s see.

It seems that this Korean company has curbed the declining sales of S6 with the large variety of products it offers, both in high-end and mid-tier. Samsung managed to hold 19 % global share whereas Apple has 10% despite of feverish sales of iPhonefollowed by Huawei with 7%.

However, it is important to mention these figure includes every kind of mobile but if we narrow thing down to only smartphones which currently have 75% market share,Samsung win even a more respectable place globally with 21%, followed by Apple with 14% and Huawei with 9%.

Also if see Asia, Xiaomi managed to grab 11 percent share surpassing Apple with 10%. While it can definitely not ignored that Asian Brands are on rise with Asus with more than 500% growth in shipments also Vivo claims a 400% increase following the major brands. The combined figures in Africa, India and China are increasing on daily basis which means Asian market OEMs could be the next bigger players beating the global competition.
