The new high capacity mobile RAM devours less than 20% energy compared to the previous 20-nm based 8Gb LPPDDR4. Further, it is 30% faster with read speed of 4.2Gbps.

Samsung is now working on 6GB RAM chips for smartphones

Samsung further unveils that 12Gb mobile DRAM modules that form the 6GB package perfectly goes for the same space as the 3GB LPDDR4 packages, which is equally beneficial for all mobile phone manufacturers.
