According to a latest report, the Rogers branded BlackBerry KEYone variant will receive an update starting 17 August. Unlike other phones in the Rogers lineup that are to get update alongside, the new files being sent to the KEYone are related to bug fixes, not security.

The problems that had to be dressed by the update are related to the Rogers’ network. Back in June, a number of Rogers subscribers complained about their incompetence to get incoming phone calls and send texts with the KEYone. The problem don’t seem to be distressing all of the device users of the carrier.

As this is an OTA update, all Rogers KEYone users will not get it simultaneously. When you receive the update, you need to ensure that you are connected to a Wi-Fi network or have a strong Rogers signal prior to starting the updating process. In addition, remember that your battery must be fully charged before moving on as well.
