Only the LG dismissed the issues and defended that the heating issues if exist are manageable through design and development of the handset.To settle the confusion for all, STJS Gadgets Portal ran some tests on both the new Snapdragon 810 and the Snapdragon 801 to see how the chipset performs under similar situation. The test monitored the surface temperature at 25 Degree Celsius room temperature. One test was run with Asphalt 8 being played to check gaming performance, and the other where 4K video was recorded on the devices.In first test Snapdragon 810 was at 40°C while the Snapdragon 801 device was at 45°C. In the second test, the Snapdragon 810 device hit 35°C while the Snapdragon 801 device managed around 43°C.In both cases Snapdragon 810 was cooler than 801. This is limited to few situations and under specific ambiance. However, if we change the situations and ambiance the results would considerably change.
