Pakistan Telecom Authority ( PTA)  has recently started its new operations of scrutinizing the availability of warranty holding mobile phones in stores. Previously PTA has been in the news for verifying SIMs to control ever increasing terrorism and malicious crimes, now, the mobile phones has become a center of attention along with.

The prime reason is the bombardment of smuggled phones from the extremely porous border with neighbor like Afghanistan. Especially, when it comes to high-end phones like Sony and iPhone, the smuggled devices damage the market competition both in terms of price and performance.

Currently, PTA is raiding each and every store to keep check on whether it sells mobile phones with or without warranty. The stores with no warranty phones are getting sealed. For this reason you may not find a single shop now with iPhone holding no warranty, at least.
