Google has recently published a report stating the distribution numbers which has unleashed the true adoption rates of various major updates like Lollipop and Marshmallow. Marshmallow the most recent iteration, is active in 0.7% of Android devices.Lollipop has managed to grab 3% share, which has reached up to 32.6 % this month. The Overall Android Market share is reported slightly down that is 36.6 % last month.

Nearly One-Third of Android devices now boot Lollipop, Marshmallow adoption rate is 0.7%

Among the older Android versions, Jelly Bean’s share is reported to be 24.7%, which is 2% down, while Ice Cream Sandwich and Gingerbread’s have been adopted by 2.7% and 3% of Android devices, respectively –both are slightly down. Froyo’s share, however, remain unmoved at 0.2%.
